In Pete the Pirate Book 3 illustration 1 of 6 Pete and his crew are meeting with the ruler of Southern Mindanao, Sultan Mohammad Makakua and his wife in front of their Royal Palace which was one of their routine visits when visiting Southern Mindanao in the Philippines. They were all very good friends. In illustration 2 Pete and his crew are at the Jewelry store in the Gold Souk in Southern Mindanao and they are trading their Gold and Silver Ore that they mined for refined Gold and Silver Bars and they are also trading and buying Precious Jewels and beautiful Jewelry pieces. This is always Sally’s second favorite part of their trip after visiting with their great friends the Sultan and his wife.
